I rebranded the publication through my cover design (which featured my piece “LOVE IN RED”), layout, logo, and promotional materials.
As the Visual Arts Editor and Creative Director, I also ran the social media channels and create promotional content like print and digital flyers. Here, I blended both mediums to create an Instagram post to bring awareness to our launch party.
At our launch party last year, I contacted sponsors and acquired hundreds of dollars in raffle prize donations from local businesses, DJ’d, decorated, and hired photographers for the event.
Besides the visual art curation and layout of our print publication, these tasks were not in the description of responsibilities for the position, but they were the things I felt called to do to ensure the success of this publication.
